This is a great resource for helping pupils to reflect on 2023 and also set targets and goals for 2024. These can be school related goals or personal goals.
It uses simple child friendly language with sentence prompts like
I hope that…
I want to…
My goal is…

Pupils can then colour and cut this out and it makes a lovely display.
Tip - add a photo of the child to the balloon to make it more personalised.
Chinese New Year and the Chinese Zodiac 2024
This powerpoint goes over the key teaching points about Chinese New Year and the different traditions involved in it.
It then explains the Chinese Zodiac and allows the children to see which animal they are. It then goes on to explain the characteristics of someone from the Year of the Dragon.
At the end there are examples of different tasks the learners could complete. These could set or learners could be allowed to choose. You could also complete these as a series of rotational stations.
The Feast of the Epiphany / The Three Kings
This resource briefly explains what the Feast of the Epiphany then it goes on to look at how it is celebrated in different countries.
There is a short quiz at the end that could be completed written or verbally.
There is also a short follow up task about researching another country and their traditions. This would require ICT.
